# What's the difference between stock, flush, poke, and aggressive fitment?
## Stock, flush, poke, and aggressive fitment all describe how far your tires sit in or out from your vehicle.
When shopping for tires, you will often hear terms like stock, flush, poke, and aggressive fitment. Understanding what these terms mean can help you choose the right wheel offset and size to get the exact look you are after. Here is a quick breakdown of each.
**Stock Fitment**
Stock fitment means your tires sit in the same position as your factory wheels. This is the most conservative option and requires little to no modifications. If you want a clean, factory look with upgraded wheels, stock fitment is the way to go.
**Flush Fitment**
Flush fitment is when the outer edge of your tire sits nearly even with your fender. This gives you a clean, wide stance without the tires sticking out past the body. It is a popular choice for builds that want a bold look while keeping things tidy.
**Poke**
Poke is when your tires stick out slightly past your fenders. This gives you a more aggressive, wider stance and is a common look for lifted trucks and show builds. The amount of poke is determined by the offset and width of your tires.
**Aggressive Fitment**
Aggressive fitment takes things a step further, with tires that sit significantly outside of the fender line. This look is popular for show trucks and heavily modified builds. Aggressive fitment often requires modifications such as fender trimming or a lift kit to avoid rubbing.
**What determines your fitment?**
A few key factors determine how your tires will sit on your vehicle:
- **Wheel offset:** A lower offset pushes the wheel further outward, while a higher offset tucks the wheel further inward
- **Wheel width:** Wider wheels naturally push the tire further out
- **Backspacing:** Less backspacing moves the wheel outward, while more backspacing tucks it in
- **Tire size:** A wider tire will naturally sit further out than a narrower one
